AUSTRIA, Hallstatt – This postcard-pretty, lake-cuddling town, nestled in Austria's Salzkammergut lake district is a scenic wonder and a UNESCO Heritage site. It is home to the world’s oldest salt mines. The Evangelical Church shown here was built as a house of prayer in 1785. Following the order of the Emperor Franz Joseph I, all Evangelists were guaranteed full rights of citizenship and equality in their ecclesiastical and political life.
